18 with a Bullet! - A multi media programme for young people using cameras, drama, role-play and music to explore the serious issue of Gun Crime and how it affects young people today.

The PPUK team take on the role of a television production company 'PPUK TV' who are in the area to look for young people who want to bid for a 5 minute broadcast slot on local TV. They are also asked to consider what they would spend £100,000 prize money on if they were to be successful with the bid.

They then spend a weekend preparing their news items using cameras, studio work, presentation skills, outside broadcasts, laptops, mixing desks, music and PowerPoint to get their issues across to an invited local audience of their parents and other important local people such as funders, councillors, local MP’s etc, in a final presentation on the Sunday evening.

This workshop has been successfully delivered in High hit gun crime areas such as St Anns’, Bulwell and Radford in Nottinghamshire and has received huge praise from parents, youth workers, local councillors, church goers, and other members of the local communities.
