United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is the country’s leading professional body for the education, training and accreditation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. UKCP has more than 7,800 members composed of individual therapists and more than 70 accreditation and training organisations.
All individual and organisational members are also made part of ten UKCP colleges. These colleges represent the different philosophies of psychotherapy which includes psychotherapeutic counselling.
International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA)
The International Transactional Analysis Association is a non-profit, member-driven educational organisation founded by Eric Berne, MD. Their purpose is to help advance the theory, methods and principles of transactional analysis. ITAA members include counsellors, educators, organisational development specialists and psychotherapists. We are an international association composed largely of volunteers.
Metanoia Institute
The institute was founded more than 30 years ago and was one the first organisations in the country to offer humanistic professional training programmes. Metanoia Institute is a well-established educational charity specialising in professional training programmes for counsellors, psychotherapists, counselling psychologists, supervisors, coaches and organisational development consultants.
